Archery Drop Camp Hunts

If you don’t need all the comforts of a lodge and want to sleep under the stars, come hunt the back country of Kansas! Where the buffalo once roamed, and the coyotes sing you to sleep every night. Circle the campfire like our forefathers and tell stories with your hunting buddies about the days hunt and unwind from the demands of the modern world.

Hunting Camp Experience

Hickory Creek is probably the first and only outfitter in Kansas to offer an archery drop camp. We are fortunate to lease some large and very remote properties that just scream Drop Camp Hunting!

We have assembled all the equipment to make your hunting experience one of a kind. Top quality tents that can accommodate 2-3 hunters. Save and efficient propane heaters with carbon dioxide detectors. On demand hot water showers and quiet generators to power up phone chargers, laptops and other electronic needs. (Twice a day) And propane grills for lunches and dinners.

Guides & Stands

One of our experienced guides will also be in camp to conduct the hunt based on trail camera surveillance and wind direction and his knowledge of the deer patterns on the ranch. He will also help with game tracking and retrieval. And best of all he will have a hot meal waiting for your group when you come in from the evening hunt.

We will have these ranches all pre scouted and stands will be in placed in prime locations for the different wind directions and deer movements and patterns.

Limited Availability

These hunts will be conducted on a limited a very limited bases and only offered during early October when the temperatures are conducive to camping overnight. You will be the first archery hunters of the year on these ranches. The bucks will be unpressured and naïve!
