Semi-Guided Whitetail Deer Hunting

To ensure our guests a quality hunting experience, we spend all year scouting the thousands of acres we control in Elk County, Chautauqua County, Cowley County, and Greenwood County. By doing this, we stay on top of deer patterns and movements.

Spring finds us shed hunting - looking for "White Gold" - the prized antlers of bucks that have made it through another season. We install summer mineral sites every year - all of which are strategically placed for bucks and does to feel comfortable during daylight hours, and to provide the deer with added nutrition throughout the year.

In the fall we stay busy clearing shooting lanes and brushing in ground blinds. We also fire up the many trail cameras that we run throughout our properties, building a "HIT LIST" of bucks that we will be targeting throughout the season.

Trophy Class Deer Herd

Deer numbers are on the rise, which has pushed the buck to doe ratio to 2:1. It is common to see more bucks than does on any given day.

We want our young bucks to reach maturity so we hold a 140 inch minimum on harvested bucks, and have instituted an immature buck fine when a hunter grossly underestimates size. We want you to kill a mature buck in the 4-6 year class, when they've reached their full potential. Every year 160"-200"+ bucks are harvested in and around this region of Kansas. Our land has many of these trophy deer, and if you have the patience to pass on the young ones you might get a shot at a Kansas giant.

Fertile Hunting Land

We lease 30 different ranches across 4 different counties, covering more than 34,000 acres in the southern portion of the Flint Hills region of Kansas. This region of Kansas is nationally known for grass fed cattle. The minerals and nutrients that grow great cattle also grow great deer!

You'll be hunting on farm land and heavy timbered draws, to open pastures and tree choked fence lines. Creek bottoms lined with white oaks or a occasional persimmon grove. Black jack covered hill tops or scattered cedar thickets.

The varying terrain provides the ample cover and security that it takes to produce trophy class buck.
